“I see.” Realization dawned on James’ face.
Shaken, the Blademaster said, “The curse’s power is immensely malicious. Even I stand no chance against it. I’m afraid I cannot continue any further. I’ll leave everything to you two. I’m turning back now.”
Fearful for his life, the Blademaster wanted to turn back.
James nodded and said, “Mhm, this place is filled with evil. You should leave.”
“I’ll be waiting outside.” Saying that, the Blademaster stood up and hurriedly fled.
James and Walganus looked at one another.
James asked, “I’m able to disregard the curse’s power here because I possess a Demonic Body. But, why aren’t you affected as well?”
Walganus smiled faintly and said, “I’m no ordinary man. I was able to appear on Planet Galileo despite the seal on the planet. What can a mere curse do to me?”
“True that.”
James nodded.
Since Walganus was full of secrets, James was not surprised that he was also able to disregard the curse’s power.
He did not question him further.
The two continued on their journey. The deeper they ventured, the stronger the curse’s power became. However, the curse’s power was unable to deal any damage to James and Walganus.
The two continued straight ahead, traversing the barren landscape for approximately six months before eventually arriving at the core region of the Barren Wasteland.
There was a city there. However, the city was desolate, and half of its walls had already collapsed.
The two entered the city.
