Walganus only knew that this was the power of the curse. As for whether there was a human or some sort of living being here practicing Curse Magic, he could not be sure.
James had encountered Curse Magic before. To his understanding, Curse Magic was merely a bizarre Supernatural Power that possessed immense power. Apart from that, he did not know much about Curse Magic. However, he was well aware that the Curse Magic he encountered was only superficial and elementary. In fact, even the Curse Magic practiced by the most powerful figures of the Demon Race was incomplete. In truth, the real Curse Magic was very terrifying.
“Let’s head deeper into the Barren Wasteland,” James said.
The three pressed on.
After some time, the Blademaster suddenly felt a sense of discomfort coming from within his body. He stopped and gasped for air. “I-I can’t go on…”
James looked at him and asked, “What’s wrong?”
The Blademaster said, “I can sense a power suppressing me. I’m feeling a sense of discomfort. I have a feeling that I might die if I head deeper into the wasteland.”
James glanced at Walganus and asked, “Do you feel the same way?”
Walganus shook his head and said, “Nope.”
James said, “Me too, I don’t sense any discomfort. My body’s completely fine.”
“Argh!”
At that moment, the Blademaster suddenly yelled. Then, he plummeted from the sky and rolled on the ground while groaning in pain.
“What’s wrong?”
James crouched down and inspected the Blademaster’s body. However, the moment his hand came into contact with the Blademaster, he could feel an evil power permeating the air. As if stung by something, he hurriedly retracted his hand.
Walganus also crouched down and inspected the Blademaster, who was rolling on the ground, screaming in pain. At the same time, veins bulged on his shriveled face, making his expression all the more horrifying.
