Herschel shook his head and said, “No way. There can only be one Macrocosm Ancestral God in the universe.”
Hearing this, Winnie fell silent.
She stood up and turned to leave.
Upon returning to her room, her expression turned grim. She had learned of Mount Heavenly Path’s decision. They were determined to kill James. She knew that Mount Heavenly Path was full of powerful figures, not to mention they had a Macrocosm Ancestral God. How was James supposed to live?
She wanted to save him. However, she was only a disciple of Mount Heavenly Path. Even though she was an Inner Disciple, she had no say in this matter. How was she supposed to stop Herschel and the Macrocosm Ancestral God from killing James?
“What should I do, Dad?”
Winnie sighed.
Just as she was helpless, a voice came, “A penny for your thoughts, Winnie?”
Winnie collected herself and turned around to see a beautiful woman walking toward her. The woman was wearing a pink dress. Her figure was flawless and curvaceous, her appearance was gorgeous, and she exuded a charismatic aura.
She was Melinda Theophanes.
Winnie hurriedly stood up and looked at her, saying, “Melinda.”
Melinda took a seat beside her and asked, “What’s wrong?”
