By that time, the dozens of clan members had all fallen on the ground.
The remaining ones who were still on their feet were looking at the two as if they were their greatest foes. None of them dared to make a move.
Nathan turned to look at Morris. "Can we talk now?"
A dark expression took over Morris's previously pale face. He glared at Nathan and snarled, "Do you think you'll have good days ahead after crossing us? Everyone, charge together and kill them!”
Immediately, everybody on the scene raised their weapons as they prepared to attack Nathan and Colin.
At that moment, Morris's wife, Faye Lynn, abruptly appeared with a phone in her hand. She shouted in a trembling voice, "Morris, wait!"
Morris snapped at his wife. "Didn't I say that something will be going on at home today, and women are not allowed in the
hall?"
Faye sped toward her husband and anxiously muttered, "Morris, it's from Gregory."
Morris showed a hint of happiness. "Gregory woke up from his coma?"
Faye nodded. "Yes. Gregory said that it's an emergency. You have to pick up the call, or else the Cross clan will be doomed."
Morris frowned as he took the phone and answered, "Hello?"
Gregory's weak voice came from the other end of the line. "Morris!"
Morris replied, "I'm glad you're awake. Get a good rest. We'll avenge you. Nathan has come here himself, and he's surrounded by our men. It'll be impossible for him to escape now."
Gregory's heart leaped to his throat when he heard his brother's words. He nervously warned, "Morris, don't be rude to Nathan, or else the Cross clan will be meat!"
