Faith cried while struggling to break free. "I don't need your help! I hate it when others pity me! All my classmates are looking at me differently. And that man you mentioned wanted me to sleep with him in return for covering my school fees!"
What!
Sarah was dumbfounded.
Seeing the ruckus before him, Nathan could not help but offer his opinion, "Shouldn't you consider her feelings? Sometimes, you can hurt others with your kind intentions. If you really want to help her, you can find her a more appropriate part-time job. What one needs is respect. After all, she can earn her own keep!"
Sarah glared at him and bellowed, "And who are you?"
"I am only a passerby. An ordinary customer of the eatery."
Sarah scoffed, "Then our matters are none of your business!"
With that, Sarah grabbed Faith's hand again, "Let's go. I will send you back to school. If you really want to work to pay for your studies, I will arrange for you a job as an errand girl at the TV station."
Nathan shook his head in resignation at the sight before him.
Colin smiled. "This woman is a shrew!"
An hour later, Nathan and Colin drove home after finishing their supper.
As they drove past a deserted alley, they saw a Beetle by the roadside.
A beautiful woman in office wear was surrounded by a few burly men.
That beautiful woman was Sarah Lee, the lady who had told Nathan off just now.
It turned out that Sarah had offended quite a lot of people with her forthright character and her news reports exposing the sordid underbelly of society.
Her enemies intercepted her on her way
