Peter didn't believe that Ben would go down on his knees and beg Nathan for mercy.
The former firmly believed that Nathan would be the one at Ben's mercy instead. Ultimately, Nathan would have to beg the Lindberg Family for help.
That was why Peter left proudly with his subordinates after saying his piece.
Everyone had an odd expression on their faces after Peter left.
Some could not understand why Nathan would reject the offer and the opportunity to be a part of the powerful Lindberg family.
Many were worried for Nathan too, especially Penny and Grace.
They knew Nathan was the one who beat Gerard to a pulp. So naturally, when they heard that Ben was here to avenge his son, they were worried.
After all, just as Peter put it, The Holt's of
Brimmopolis were powerful figures to be reckoned with.
Nathan could see the worried look in Penny's eyes. He simply grinned and assured, "Relax. It's just the Holt's from Brimmopolis. I've said that Ben will be here tonight to apologize for their mistake, and so he will."
Penny grinned helplessly in response.
She thought that Nathan had merely said it in the heat of the moment in an attempt to bluff Peter. It doesn't matter if Ben apologizes or not. Nathan would be lucky if Ben doesn't come to seek revenge.
Deep down, Penny and the others were troubled by their thoughts, however, they put on a brave smile and continued with their celebration in the restaurant.
Nathan got Colin to a corner side and whispered, "I don't think the Logan's nor my maternal grandmother whom I have never met would want to acknowledge me as part of their family out of the blue. This is really suspicious. Go look into this matter and find out what is the Lindberg Family up to."
