Salute to the General novel Chapter 1229

However, as soon as Nathan finished speaking, Joseph Simon with his men came up to them while smiling.

"Sir, were you talking about me just now?

Nathan replied emotionlessly, "I don't care who you are. You'd better get out of my sight this instant."

Apparently unperturbed, Joseph continued smilingly, "It looks like this gentleman really hates me! But that's okay. If you don't want to see me, you may leave now."

Joseph then glanced at Penny, who wore a white dress, and said while flashing her a wicked smile, "Lady, I've asked the waiter to open a 1982 Lafite Rothschild. May I buy you a drink?"

Nathan immediately answered on behalf of her, "No!"

Joseph raised his eyebrows in dissatisfaction before he scowled, "Sir, I'm asking the beautiful lady here. Not you."

Nathan replied calmly, "And I've answered you on her behalf!"

"Who are you to her?"

Without hesitation, Nathan stated firmly, "I'm her husband!"

Joseph nodded and was seemingly shocked as he said, "Oh, my apologies. I didn't know she's your wife. Sir, in that case, can I buy your wife a drink?"

Nathan stared at him with piercing eyes. "Do you think this is funny?"

Unashamedly, Joseph's lips quirked as he moved closer to Nathan, intentionally provoking him. "Nathan Cross, let me be honest with you. I'm pretty fond of your wife."

Nathan immediately sneered, "Do you wish to die?"

However, Joseph wasn't afraid. He laughed instead and said, "Haha! You're mad. But what can you do about it? I'm someone who can provoke you anytime, yet you'll never be able to fight me! Are you angry and dissatisfied? Well, look at you. Do you want to beat me? Come on. I'm standing right here. Touch me if you dare."

While Joseph spoke, he deliberately leaned closer to Nathan in hopes of angering him even more.

Joseph was very confident in himself since he came from the Simon family, one of the ten prominent martial arts families.

Since you asked for it, why not?

As soon as Joseph's last words left his mouth, Nathan raised his hand to grab the rose from the waiter.

He then flung it ferociously at the other man's face.
