With a ghastly expression on her face, Fion went back to Room 001.

At that time, Wyatt was busy chatting with Andy and a few other friends while his bodyguards stood in the corner of the private room.

When he saw Fion's disturbed expression, he asked, "What's wrong, Ms. Xavier? Didn't you just go to the ladies' room to touch up your makeup?"

Fion forced out a laugh and answered, "I'm fine!”

Seeing her forced laughter, Wyatt responded calmly, "The look on your face doesn't say you're fine though. You can tell me."

She then said softly, "It's not a big deal. I just bumped into a former classmate whom I have a bad history with. Her husband said some nasty things to me and humiliated me."

Wyatt's face sank as he heard Fion's words. "How dare anyone bully you. This is absolutely outrageous," he spat coldly.

"Andy, bring your men along and look for the couple who bullied Ms. Xavier. They are to kneel down before Ms. Xavier and apologize to her," he instructed.

Andy answered, "Of course!"

However, Fion interjected, "Hold on! Wyatt, this is just a small matter. Please don't make such a big deal out of it, or I will feel uneasy."

Wyatt looked at Fion and said sympathetically, "You're too kind, Ms. Xavier. Alright, since it is your wish, I won't go after that couple for the time being."

A hint of conceit flashed across Fion's eyes.

Soon, the charity auction began.

The organizers put up many pieces of diamond jewelry for auction and pledged that all proceeds would be donated to the Red Cross Society to help blind children.

Many big shots at the auction started making their bids.

For them, it was like hitting two birds with one stone. By winning the bids, not only they could give the beautiful pieces of jewelry to their female partners to please them, but they could also gain reputation as philanthropists. So, these big shots bid as much as they could.

Very soon, the organizers brought out the most eye-catching jewelry of the night. Known as 'Eternal Love', it was a pair of diamond rings which were the final pieces of jewelry designed by the world's top designer Lady Caitlin before she retired.

Back in Room 009, Penny caught a glimpse of the diamond rings and whispered excitedly, "How beautiful!"

Nathan looked at her and said with a smile, "Honey, since you like it, I will buy it for you."

Seeing that the starting bid was twenty million, Penny shook her head and said, "The starting bid is twenty million. It's too

expensive."

Nathan smiled and responded, "It's not expensive if you like it!"

Although Penny now had a sizeable net worth, she was still unwilling to spend such a great amount.
