Nathan and Penny lay in bed late at night.

Penny snuggled in Nathan's arms and said softly, “Hubby, for some strange reason, I feel anxious hearing that you're heading to Adrune this time.”

Nathan comforted her, “I understand your concerns, but I assure you that I'll be fine. I've been in countless dangerous battles before and came out unscathed. The vampire outbreak is spreading rapidly, and if I don't take action now, the situation will only get worse, and Aploth might be affected as well. This isn't just about Adrune anymore, but about the survival of the human species. I must head there.”

Penny responded, “I understand, but as your wife, I can't help but feel worried and scared.”

“President Cross, these are the warriors who volunteered to head to Adrune with you to fight the vampires. However, the list is quite lengthy, so I took the liberty of screening it and selecting only the crème de la crème for your perusal.”

Nathan took the list from him. “I'll have a look.”

He first spotted Fang, Zach, Lucas, and Elijah's names followed by Destroyer, Heptakill, and the like.
