Layla's bodyguards were taken aback.
There was someone in Mayberry who dared to hit her?
Layla came to her senses and screamed, "What are you doing, just standing there? Can't you see that this bastard hit me?
Beat him up and break his arms!"
The two bodyguards replied in unison, "Yes, Madam!"
They then pounced upon Nathan in a pincer attack.
Bam! Bam!
Before they could even touch Nathan, he had kicked them aside and they landed by Layla's feet.
Layla's face fell and shrieked, "Wendy, you let your subordinate hit me and injure my bodyguards. Do you believe that I can throw you into jail with a single call?"
Before Wendy could reply, Nathan snapped, "Try me!"
Layla was outraged and dialed her cousin, Griffin.
Within ten minutes, several police cars arrived.
Griffin arrived in a gray jacket and had a stern gaze. He got off the car with several members of the investigation unit.
Griffin was the chief of the Mayberry police investigation unit. He was influential in Mayberry.
When Layla saw his cousin arrive, she felt more secure.
She wailed and told her cousin her own version of what happened.
She accused Nathan of tailgating her car and injuring her bodyguards.
Finally, she whined, Tve never suffered such injustice in Mayberry before! You've got to stand up for me!"
When Griffin heard this, he had a frustrated expression at Nathan and the others.
He yelled, "Who hit them earlier? Admit it!"
