Salute to the General novel Chapter 1554

Boris did not answer Julius. Instead, he said lightly, "If I remember correctly, Yale has engaged to Ms. Davier recently, has he not?"

Though startled, Julius replied, "Yes. Finally, Yale managed to win the heart of Ms. Davier. He was on cloud nine and thought he had reached the pinnacle of his life. Who would've thought he would die in the hands of Nathan's subordinate."

Boris laughed bitterly and said, "Although The Holt family is one of the upper-class family in Brimmopolis, the Russo family is the elite family. Carl Russo used to work with me at the Nine Great Cabinet. Nathan murdered the Holt family's son, who was also Carl Russo's future son-in-law. He committed a huge offence against both families. I know the Holt family and Russo family will not let the matter rest. We shall sit and watch the scene unfold for now."

Julius was overjoyed upon hearing this. It would be best for both the Holt family and the Russo family to go against Nathan. His master would not have to get his hands dirty.

Before he could express his thoughts about the matter, he noticed a sinister glint in Mr. Tucker's eyes.

He shuddered as an absurd thought entered his mind.

When Mr. Tucker assigned Yale and Shadow to poison Nathan's daughter, did he already prepare for the worse outcome?

If Yale managed to kill Nathan's daughter, Mr. Tucker would successfully avenge his son's death.

But if Yale failed, Mr. Tucker could still use the anger of the Holt family and the Russo family to go against Nathan.

Julius shivered at the thought.

If his guess was right, Mr. Tucker's scheme was genius and downright horrifying.

The Holt family conducted the funeral service for Yale the next day.

Numerous families from all over

Brimmopolis sent their subordinates to attend the funeral. Boris also appointed one of his subordinates to send his condolences.

Kenji personally facilitated the funeral service. It was the last thing he could do for his brother.

Although Yale and Ms. Davier were not married, she insisted that she attend the funeral as Yale's widow. She attended to all the guests who visited and extended their condolences.

Once the funeral service ended, Kenji approached Phoebe. "Ms. Davies. Although you were engaged to my brother, you weren't registered in marriage. You didn't have to attend the funeral with the title of a widow. How will you get future suitors?" He asked in concern.

Phoebe answered coldly, "Getting married is the last thing on my mind. Now, I only want to avenge his death. Whoever killed Yale must die, don't you agree?"

As the owner of Ocean Corporation, Kenji was a famous weaponry merchant. His company was a multinational corporation that created value for money weapons and his products were sold all over the world.
