Salute to the General novel Chapter 1591

A small aircraft was on its way to Brimmopolis.

Aboard the plane, Phoebe was listening to her subordinate's report with a drink in hand.

“Ms. Davier, I've just received the latest word from Channing City. Santiago is dead.”

Phoebe's eyes widened in surprise. “Was it Nathan's handiwork?”

“Yes,” said Durand with a nod.

Phoebe was shocked and angry at the revelation. “How bold of Nathan. Although the Lieberman family is no longer in its heyday, it's still a prominent family.”

“There's more. It's said that the current heir to the Lieberman family, Wilfred himself, might have an early release.” “We can only assume that Wilfred is determined to go back to being at the top of his game after he's released from prison. Even so, Nathan actually dared to kill Santiago?”

Durand smiled bitterly. “Look, Nathan killed Mr. Tucker's son. Why would he stop at killing Wilfred's son too?”

“From this, I can also tell that Nathan is really pissed.”

“Fortunately, Mr. Davier caught wind of this early and made you leave Channing on time.

Otherwise, I don't think Nathan would let you off if he got his hands on you, Ms. Davier.”

Phoebe's face inevitably turned pale with fear.

All she could do was nod in response. “I think

Nathan's a madman.”

“What a pity. We're already on our way back to Brimmopolis. If he thinks he can harm a single hair on my head in my own territory, it's nothing more than wishful thinking on his part.”

Durand nodded in agreement. “Luckily we moved fast enough.”

He didn't even finish saying that when the alarms started blaring on the aircraft.

Phoebe frowned. “What's going on?”

Durand was also confused by the commotion. “I don't know. Could it be turbulence? Usually, that would be grounds to issue a warning so that everyone returns to their seats.”
