Salute to the General novel Chapter 1600

Displeasure flitted across Colin's face as he frowned. “Miss, please calm down. I helped you defeat the pervert. Instead, you're saying that I'm the murderer and the rapist. Are you alright?”

The beautiful woman then knelt beside the injured man and let out a pitiful wail. “Maddox? Oh Maddox, are you alright? You have to get back up, please!”

Colin frowned and froze. He realized that something was wrong.

Just then, a stalwart, middle-aged man appeared out of nowhere. He was accompanied by an entourage of at least fifty men.

It was none other than Quirrell Simmons, the Dragon of the South.

Quirrell gestured at the group and hurried closer towards the woman who was supposedly howling in grief.

“Who did this? Who did this to you and Maddox?”

When the woman saw her concerned cousin rushing towards her, she immediately launched into a barrage of complaints. “Quirrell! Thank god you're here! Maddox and I were making out, minding our business.”

“Then, this a**hole came over out of nowhere and wanted to rape me. Look at what he's done to poor Maddox!”

“There, there, it's alright now. I'll teach this a**hole a lesson.”

Quirrell's gaze landed on Colin. “Well, look what we have here.” He sneered and glared at Colin again. “You seem like a decent, well-built fellow but ah, how looks can be deceiving. It turns out you're just a scumbag who preys on the weak.”

Colin looked at Quirrell and the others suspiciously and asked, “Wait, who the heck are you? Why are you setting me up?”

Quirrell smirked. “You wounded my friend and attempted to assault my cousin. We have proof.

Are you going to deny this?”

“Now, I want you to break both your hands and kneel. Maybe, I'll consider sparing your pathetic life.”

“I said I'll consider it, keep that in mind.”

The gang of men that gathered behind Quirrell sneered collectively. Their faces spelled nothing but trouble and ill-intentions.

Colin was now absolutely certain that these people had come for him.

If he warranted a wild guess, he would've assumed that it had to do with Mr. Davier.

Phoebe, Mr. Davier's daughter, was killed at the behest of Nathan Cross.
