Salute to the General novel Chapter 1601

Quirrell gazed coldly at Colin.

Instantly, warning bells began to sound in Colin's heart.

He felt like a prey that was being watched at a distance by its predator. His entire body tensed up as he matched Quirrell's gaze rather fearfully.

Over the course of his long career, Colin had killed numerous people and seen just as many fearsome warriors. However, this was the first time he had seen a person as brutish and cruel as the man in front of him.

He gazed at the man, and a familiar name popped up in his mind all of a sudden.

Colin's eyes widened in shock as he exclaimed, “I know who you are! You are who the people in the South refer to as Dragon! You're Quirrell Simmons, aren't you?”

Quirrell's lips curled into a smile. “As well-developed as your physique looks, I'm surprised to see that you're not all brawn and no brains. At least you know who I am.”

“Since you were able to identify me, I'll let you leave this place alive.”

“However, you'll have to break all your limbs and kneel before me to beg for mercy. Then, I'll agree to let you off the hook. How does that sound to

Colin looked furious. “If you think you can achieve your goal of humiliating the General by humiliating me, you're wrong!” “In the North Army, we would rather die an honorable death in battle rather than kneel and beg for our lives before a miscreant like you!”

Quirrell clapped his hands in delight. “What a wonderful saying! I suppose you've chosen to die, then.”

As soon as he spoke, Quirrell lunged forward at Colin at break-neck speed.

In fact, he moved so quickly that the bystanders' eyes couldn't keep up with his movements at all. All they could see was a shadow flashing past them and throwing itself at Colin.

Quirrell's subordinates whooped in joy as they watched, their eyes wide with excitement.

Quirrell got closer and closer to Colin by the second, his arm raised as though he were going to land a punch on him...

His fist flew through their air towards Colin, moving so quickly that the bystanders nearly mistook it for a bolt of lightning...

Colin's face was full of shock. Summoning all the strength in his body, he threw a punch at Quirrell, too.

Crash!

Their fists met in mid-air, smashing against each other with an ear-splitting crack.

Quirrell remained rooted to his spot, looking thoroughly unruffled.

However, Colin flew through the air and landed a few meters away.

Quirrell looked perfectly at ease, but Colin felt as though he had lost all the feeling in his right arm.

This was probably the first time Colin had been defeated by another person in hand-to-hand combat.

At the same time, this defeat pricked his pride a little.

“Again!”

With a loud roar, Colin leaped forward again with his fist extended. He looked as though he had the confidence of thousands of soldiers and military horses backing him up.

Quirrell didn't expect that Colin would call for another round after getting hit. In fact, Colin's conviction seemed to have grown.

His lips curled into a smile. “How interesting!”
