Nathan furrowed his brows.
Upon hearing the disdain in Milton's words, Kylie was absolutely furious.
“Yes, he's my boyfriend. He's called Nathan,” she said with her head high. Nobody had expected that coming.
This time, not only was Milton beseeched, but Nathan was also at a loss for words.
His first reaction was to deny their relationship, but Kylie was clinging onto his arms and staring at him with puppy dog eyes.
He got her hint pretty fast.
Clearly, Milton was an unwanted suitor who had been bothering her, and she was trying to shun him away with her “boyfriend”.
Nathan looked into Kylie's helpless eyes and pursed his lips.
In the end, he chose to play along.
Kylie let out a soft sigh of relief while Milton squinted his eyes at Nathan, with a hostile aura building up around him.
Eyeballing Nathan from head to toe, he concluded that Nathan was simply an average guy wearing average clothes, driving an average jeep.
It came as an unpleasant shock for him that his goddess was dating such a mediocre man.
Staring daggers at Nathan, Milton could not wait to teach him a lesson.
However, just at that moment, a BMW mini drove past and stopped by. Mavis emerged from it, wearing a flashy dress.
“Oh my. Milton, Kylie! You're all here? Why are you guys talking in the car park? Come on, let's go in,” she said with a look of surprise.
“Sure thing!” Milton grinned.
And so, the four of them made their way into the nightclub, to a luxurious private room that had been reserved for them called the Diamond Suite.
The Diamond Suite was the largest private space within the club. Designed to look like a dreamy realm in fantasy land, it could hold more than two hundred people.
When they had arrived, the room was already half-filled, with people chatting, drinking, and having the time of their lives. Most of them were Kylie's classmates from college.
Upon seeing Milton and Kylie appear, many walked up to them for a friendly greeting.
When Kylie introduced Nathan to the people in the room, she still kept up the boyfriend narrative, causing heads to turn.
