In a dilapidated house situated in a village of Brimmopolis, the Dark Lord and several of his subordinates were in the middle of an intense discussion with a local man with a moustache on his face.
The man was Godric Orion. He was sent there by Boris to convey his message to the Dark Lord.
Godric took a sip of the cup of coffee and frowned at the taste - he was not accustomed to the type of coffee the foreigners preferred.
After putting down the cup of coffee, Godric stared at the Dark Lord and said, “Captain Dark Lord, you guys have let Mr. Tucker down. I'm sorry to say that your performance is really disappointing and far from professional. After making such a huge stir, you guys didn't even manage to kill any of Nathan's men.”
A trace of fury flickered in the Dark Lord's eyes. In a somewhat stilted manner, he spoke in the local language, “Tell your boss that I'm sorry for being careless this time. Next time, I'll finish Nathan off myself.”
Godric shook his head and said curtly, “There won't be a next time. Now that the matter has escalated into a big deal, and Nathan is still alive, there are various parties who are going to carry out investigations on it. So, Mr. Tucker is of the opinion that you should leave the country as soon as you can.
In a frosty voice, the Dark Lord remarked, “It seems to me that your boss is afraid of getting implicated by the mess because of me.”
“Leaving the country is the best option for you and your men. It's a win-win situation for both parties,” Godric responded.
The Dark Lord replied icily, “Tell your boss that we will leave when the right time comes - when I successfully slaughter Nathan myself to avenge the death of my younger brother as well as my buddies.”
“Mr. Tucker wanted you guys to leave the country immediately!” Godric snapped.
“I'm afraid I can't do that,” the Dark Lord countered.
Horrified and frustrated, Godric warned, “Captain Dark Lord, I don't think you should try triggering the wrath of Mr. Tucker. Mind you, wiping you guys out is a cinch for someone as powerful as him.”
Looking unfazed by his threat, the Dark Lord retorted in a collected voice, “Oh? Why don't he just silence us by killing us directly? He'll be spared a lot of trouble if he does that though.”
