Salute to the General novel Chapter 1850

On the plane, Nathan contemplated at the blue sky through the window and he seemed like he was lost in his thoughts.

Penny, who was sitting beside him, glanced at him with concern and gently held his hand.

Having snapped back to reality, Nathan turned his head to align his eyes with Penny's.

Nathan smiled and queried, “What's the matter?”

“Hubby, it's okay if they take away your position. Remember, you've still got me, your daughter, and your family members behind you. Plus, we still have the Cross Group to back us up.” Penny comforted him in a soothing voice.

“Let's work hard together as a couple to expand Cross Group to a new height and to build a pharmaceutical empire that focuses on consumer health,” Penny added.

While staring at Penny, Nathan noticed that his wife was probably worried about him being devastated and depressed after losing his job.

“Don't worry, I'm fine. Power and rankings aren't that important to me. I wouldn't be depressed just because of losing my position. On the contrary, I'm happier now as I get to spend more time with my wife as well as my daughter.” He assured Penny with a smile.

Penny smiled and held Nathan's hand before saying, “Your daughter misses you every day. If she got word of you not needed to go back to the army anymore, she'll be cavorting out of joy.

“Moreover, we could even take this chance to try for a son.” Nathan let out a smirk.

Upon hearing his statement, Penny's face turned bright red and she snapped, “You're a hooligan!”

Meanwhile in Brimmopolis, at the Goldstein family household, Gillian and the others were staring at Bobbi with a weird expression on.

Embarrassed, Bobbi was red in the face as he uttered awkwardly, “I don't know what Zach, Lucas, and Will are thinking. Nathan is powerless now and yet they are still willing to pick a fight with the Goldstein family just for him.”

“Do not do a number on Nathan although he has fallen; he used to be in a high and mighty position and hence it would only be natural that people are still helping him out,” said Gillian.

“However, this is only temporary. He was lucky enough to have Zach and them to help him out this time. But his luck will run out soon.

Furthermore, I believe that people will give him the short measure when they realize that he doesn't have any value left,” she snickered.
