Tyranno stared in disbelief at Nathan like he was seeing an alien for the first time.
But he quickly snapped out of his daze and gestured towards a bloodied Jaeden, raising an eyebrow. “This guy's already made an example of himself, and you still want to pick a fight with me? I'm not sure if I should call you fearless or stupid.”
“I don't want to get rough in front of all these children,” Nathan reiterated calmly. “So, I'm giving you one last chance. Send us to our destination, and Zac will pay you the previously negotiated amount of five thousand.”
Pausing, he looked over at Jaeden and added, “Of course, you have to apologize to him too.”
At that moment, several of the goons outside had noticed that something was off and gathered onto the bus. “Are these guys not complying, Tyranno?” they asked him.
“Should we draw a little blood and show them who's boss?”
Tyranno waved them off, signaling that he didn't need their help.
Pulling out a small, sharp knife from his pocket, he waved it in front of him while slowly approaching Nathan. “What did you say, punk? My hearing's kinda bad, so say it again if you dare.”
Penny, Queenie, and everyone else on the bus were on the edge of their seats as they watched.
Even Jaeden was staring at him, a confused mix of emotions in his eyes as his wife and son held him up.
But Nathan's relaxed expression didn't budge an inch, seemingly unbothered by the threat that was Ty ran no's knife. “You heard me loud and clear. I don't need to repeat myself.”
Anger flashed through the depths of Ty ran no's eyes. “Then die!”
He lashed out with his knife, aiming for Nathan's torso area.
“Watch out!”
The warning escaped Penny's mouth before she could stop herself.
Some of the adults cried out, covering their children's eyes in fear that they were going to witness Nathan's death.
But Nathan stood his ground, waiting until the knife was mere inches away from his chest
before striking, grabbing ahold of Tyrannos wrist.
