Salute to the General novel Chapter 203

Bruce was on the verge of bursting out in anger. He wanted to tape up Douglas Hayes' mouth so badly so that he would not spout nonsense anymore.

Report this to the superiors? Nathan Cross was the General for the North Army, China's Ares of the North!

You want him to be punished? It is good enough that he is not punishing you now!

Bruce sniffed slightly and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. He continued to explain by showing a pitiful face to Nathan and Colin, "I'm sure there are some misunderstandings here..."

Colin scoffed, "I don't think so. This man here wants to report this to the superiors. Why don't you go ahead and do it? If I could remember correctly, you guys are under General Franklin Wilson in Channing's Navy Division. If you don't have his number, I can call him for you!"

Colin said as he fished out his phone and called Franklin in front of everyone.

Right after the call went through and he talked into the phone, "General Wilson, I think that Douglas Hayes' position from Channing's Armed Forces needs some adjustment. Shall we demote him to a private and send him for some training?"

Upon hearing Colin's words, Douglas' heart skipped a beat and he knew immediately that something bad was about to happen.

Colin placed the phone on speaker and passed it to Douglas.

The latter was shaking from head to toe. This was a call to Franklin Wilson so he dared not reject the call. He could only take the phone from Colin quickly.

Cautiously, he greeted Franklin over the phone.

Franklin's powerful and loud voice rang from the phone, "Hayes!"

"Sir, I am here," Douglas spoke with a quivering voice as he ascertained that it was really Franklin Wilson himself.

Franklin told him, "Hayes, why don't you go back to some basic training? I will ask Bruce to transfer you to the Department of the Army Cook and you can work as a captain there. You will receive the notice of your demotion soon!"

Douglas felt his world collapsed as he stood glued to his spot stunned beyond belief.

He was the Captain of the Reserved Guards, and now he had been demoted to an army cook?

Perhaps an officer like Bruce would be demoted to become a sergeant too!

It was literally sending him to hell!

Douglas stuttered in shock, "Sir, I..."

Franklin Wilson cut him off, "Alright, I'm tired and want to get some rest now. Just do as you are told."

"Also, bring Caleb Lowe and William Hayes along with you. That way you won't be so lonely."
