Salute to the General novel Chapter 2089

The Daviers were gathered in their living room. After exchanging pleasantries, Scout announced his departure.

Departure?

Clifford and the rest stared.

“Scout, this is your home,” Clifford said. “You've been abroad for so long, surely you'd like to experience comforts of home for a change?”

“That's right, Scout,” Valois said. “This is still your home. You wouldn't treat your family like strangers, would you?”

“Brothers.” Scout smiled. “This is not my intention.”

“I intend to teach Nathan a lesson.”

But like you ve pointed out, he's been using his wife to gain the favor of the Chief Military Governor. He relies on him for protection, so he can do whatever he wants and get away with it.”

“After I'm done with Nathan, it would undoubtedly trigger a very large reaction, as you know my style of being as loud and flamboyant as ever. I do not wish to bring any negative impact to our ancestral home.”

“By staying outside, upon killing Nathan, I'll be able to swiftly depart and go back to Ospea should the Chief Military Governor wish to pursue this matter.”

“And as for you, feel free to put the blame on me after I have departed. There's no need to pick a fight with the Chief Military Governor.”

“Brother, you've always acted rashly. And that is what sets you up for failure.” Clifford sighed.

“But twenty years later, you've become more rational. This plan is well thought out.”

“Alright. Scout, you can stay outside, but we're still a family. If there's anything I can do for you, let me know. As the Cabinet Secretary, my influence is still widespread.”

“All you have to do is take care of Nathan.”

“Yes, brother.” Scout smiled.

Flanked with a couple of men, Scout departed the Davier family residence.

Soon after, they pulled up at Islesbury Club.

Islesbury Club was owned by Mojo, one of Scout's friends.

It was the best spot in Brimmopolis for the city's elite to squander their wealth. The establishment was not frequented by just about anybody. Only movie stars, supermodels, university students, white-collar workers, and very attractive-looking teachers were seen here.
