Salute to the General novel Chapter 2114

Wrath!

Immense wrath!

A bloodthirsty aura emanated from Cliffords body and swept across the place.

Valois started furiously, “Clifford, it's particularly clear now. These men, including Will and Fang are opposing the Davier family. They're strongly backing Nathan.”

Clifford replied in a cold tone, “Fang is the Commander-In-Chief of the North Army. His influence in Brimmopolis is constrained. Will is the commander-in-chief of Capital Garrison and maintains control over three hundred thousand soldiers in Brimmopolis. If we don't send him away, there's no way we can kill Nathan in the short run.”

Valois lowered his voice. “Clifford, are you trying to smear Will and dismiss him from his position?”

“That's not possible in such a short period,” Clifford answered.

Valois continued, “Then—”

Clifford cut him off, “You take these few days' time to gather all the Davier family members and subordinates who are away from home as well as all my followers, former troops, and good friends. Tell them that in seven days, I'll get this over with Nathan and ask them to return home to back me.”

Valois replied, “Sure. I'll get everything fully prepared and we'll bring Nathan down with optimum strength.”

“Good. Go prepare then. We'll let Nathan revel for a few more days, and seven days later will be

his doomsday.”

With that, Clifford turned around and left. He returned to his study room with Spook.

As Spook closed the door, Clifford called out dispassionately, “Spook!”

“Yes, Sir!” Spook answered.

“I have something else that I need you to do it personally,” Clifford said.

“I'm at your disposal, Mr. Davier.”

Clifford narrowed his eyes into a squint and said, “Will is the commander-in-chief of Brimmopolis Capital Garrison. Judging from the current situation, it's very likely that he's supporting Nathan with all his might now. I need to send him away. If I besmirch and remove him with an ordinary approach, it has to wait half to a full year's time. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
