Reality had proven that his premonition was accurate.
After the first flare streaked across the sky, many other flares were fired up in response, illuminating the sky as if it was a fireworks festival.
Clifford was dumbfounded and so was the rest of the Davier family.
With so many military flares in the sky, it demonstrated the massive amount of troops that had been deployed.
Beyond his shock, Clifford was now filled with fear. He asked in a trembling voice, “What is going on? Did the Chief Military Governor order all the troops in Brimmopolis to head over here?” He continued, “It's impossible. It just can't be.
The Chief Military Governor has declared himself neutral. How can he deploy the troops in Brimmopolis against the Davier family?”
Even then, Clifford still fantasized that the flares might be on his side and the army was there to support him.
However, what happened next brought him down to earth immediately.
ZoomlZoom!
Two of the latest fighter jets zoomed across the sky while roaring over the heads of the Davier army.
“Those are Leviathan fighter jets!”
“They are the most technologically advanced jets that have recently joined the service of
Eurasia's army.” “My God, why are the Leviathan fighter jets showing up here?” the Davier family men remarked in shock.
The Leviathan fighter jet was the latest jet inducted into the army. All its features were among the most advanced the world had ever seen and it was a crucial component of the country's defenses.
As the jet was still new, there were only a total of twenty of them distributed across the different military zones.
The Capital Garrison at Brimmopolis had two jets and no one expected to see both of them here today.
Clifford looked up at the jets in awe and he was puzzled as to what their presence meant.
Suddenly, he realized the jets were flying in the direction of the Wraith Legion.
His face lost all color as he exclaimed, “We re done for!”
At that moment, the two Leviathan jets launched their air-to-ground missiles.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
