Fang and the others were taken aback to hear Nathan. “Sir, you're far too important to personally lead a team there. We're afraid that they'll stop at nothing in trying to harm you.
“Eurasia is going to be in danger should anything happen to you!”
Nathan smiled. “Don't worry, guys. I will not attend the joint military exercise as the Chief Military Governor. Don't we have a department specializing in making masks of disguise?
“I'll just wear a mask and tell others that I'm Bay Cross, an unassuming lieutenant colonel in the South Army participating in July Festival.
“I will show them what we've got, and showcase the Eurasia army's abilities so that they dare not aggravate us again.”
There was nothing they could say to make Nathan change his mind since he was adamant about going ahead with his plans.
With that in mind, Nathan ended the meeting and dismissed his subordinates.
Nathan came out from the meeting room and went to the courtyard as he queried Colin by his side, “Where is Mrs. Cross off to today?”
“Mrs. Cross brought Ms. Tonkins and Ms. Smith to the Sacred Sword Cathedral for the mass. They're accompanied by Ava,” Colin reported.
The Sacred Sword Cathedral was a famous cathedral in Brimmopolis. It was erected over two hundred years ago and was the tallest cathedral in all of Eurasia.
The cathedral had gotten its name from its peculiar design of a sacred sword piercing into
the air.
It was a sanctuary to a number of patriots, and a secret base for military operations back in the day. Hence, it was an endearing place for the people of Eurasia. Some people would make a trip there to commemorate the sacrifices suffered by their ancestors.
Kylie had the habit of going to the mass while Penny was keen on understanding more about the history of the Sacred Sword Cathedral acting as a sanctuary to the patriots.
It was coincidentally the day which the cathedral was open to the public. Hence, Penny brought along Kylie and Queenie for a trip there.
After knowing that Penny had made a trip there, Nathan chuckled. “The Sacred Sword Cathedral was a military base for our party back then when we fought our enemies, and is a significant cultural heritage to us all. By the way, I still haven't been there despite having arrived at Brimmopolis for some time already.”
