Salute to the General novel Chapter 2153

Over at Cloud Palace, Franklin had reserved the whole place for the night so they could have the place to themselves.

Nathan and his family sat with Franklin around the table while the waiters took their orders.

The manager came over to Franklin and Nathan as everyone was chatting away. “Mr. Cross, Mr. Wilson, the dishes are ready. We will serve them shortly.”

“Could you hold on a second? We're still waiting for his in-laws. We'll start eating once they arrive,” Franklin replied before Nathan could say a word.

“Sure thing, Mr. Wilson,” the manager said and made leave.

“Seriously, what's with Thomas? He's taking ages! This is not his usual self.”

Just as Franklin was complaining, Wilmer and his men appeared at the door and barged in unannounced.

Disturbed by the sudden racket at the door, everyone looked up and was stunned. Nathan squinted his eyes when he spotted Benson and Leah. His gaze hardened when he finally saw Thomas and his men, all injured and weak.

Penny and the rest sucked a breath of cold air when they beheld the sight.

“What's going on?” Franklin stood from his chair instantly.

Colin and Ava sprang from their seats and went close to Nathan.

“We didn't expect them to get here so quickly. We got the news that the Camden family sent them. They're here to kill you and bring Mrs. Cross with them. They almost killed Mr. Smith and Mrs. Smith. It seems Thomas and his men were wounded too.”

A deadly gloom settled over Nathan's face the moment he heard Colin's report.

Opposite the group, Wilmer smiled confidently when he saw Penny and Nathan in the restaurant. “Congratulations. You managed to save that pathetic life of yours. Ms. Camden and Nathan are really here.” Wilmer said to Thomas, “Kneel down here while I cut off Nathan's head.”

Right after Wilmer spoke, his men pressed Benson, Leah, Thomas, and his subordinates on their shoulders, forcing them to go on their knees.

“Dad! Mom!” Penny screamed when she saw the men behaving brutally toward her parents.
