Soon after.
Simone and the others saw Nathan having a pleasant meal at the restaurant. The former went to Nathan and formally complained about how Nathan changed his mission without any prior notice. He also asked Nathan to cooperate with the others and rehearse accordingly.
Nathan agreed to it with a smile.
The next day.
The event continued as usual. The only difference was that a lot more international reporters showed up to record everything and write their articles.
The reporters were mostly after Nathan and Catherine, and many of those reporters were
from Eurasia.
At first, Simone arranged for a lot of reporters from his own country to be present. The reporters in question were all in league with Simone, so he had complete control over what footage they shared with the public. Anything unfavorable to Simone could easily be deleted under those circumstances.
Unfortunately, Nathan and Catherine had since gotten a lot of reporters from Eurasia over. There were even reporters who had neutral political standings.
The entire world was watching, so Simone and the others couldn't play dirty against Nathan or kill him via any vile plans anymore.
Hence, the rest of the week progressed smoothly and in accordance with the rules.
Simone, Reno, and Nakajima tried to get Nathan in hot water on multiple occasions, but Nathan defused every situation.
Simone and the others never got to kill Nathan, even when the last day of the event rolled by and the closing ceremony concluded.
Nathan, on the other hand, led Eurasia's Dragon Warriors and did an outstanding job at the rehearsals. They showed the world their true strengths, and their incredible power made all the other countries reevaluate Eurasia's true value.
As usual, the end of the event was followed by a party at night.
That night, every naval officer from different countries gathered to celebrate. Everyone sang, danced, and drank.
Nathan told the Dragon Warriors that they were allowed to relax and have some fun, but they were not allowed to get drunk. They must remain sober and be ready to fight at any given moment. As Eurasia's soldiers who were stationed in a foreign country, they were constantly surrounded by enemies with ill intentions. Hence, they had to be vigilant at all times. They couldn't let their guard down for even a second.
After advising the naval officers, Nathan took Colin and the Elite Eight to the party site.
