“Everyone.” Simone's expression was really dark. “You heard what he said. If we can't make him yield today, all one hundred countries involved are going to become international laughing stocks. Don't you hold back, just show him what you have.”
Because Nathan was attending the banquet for the closing of the exercise, he still had his suit on him.
So he took off his coat and tossed it at Colin before looking toward Simone and said, “Are you done with the blabbering? Come at me now.”
“You insolent fool. I, Mikaze Ittozan from Jetroina will be your first opponent.”
Mikaze lowered his body with his hand on the katana at his waist. He darted forward in wooden clogs, speeding towards Nathan. When he got near, he pulled his sword out in a flash.
laido!
Everyone's eyes lit up because Mikaze's form and the slash looked superb.
Even Nakajima was impressed, complimenting him. “Excellent, Mikaze!”
That being said, Mikaze's katana never went back into the sheath like how laido was supposed to.
The sword was stuck in Nathan's hand as he was able to catch it halfway.
He stopped the slash with his bare hand?
Mikaze's eyes widened, shaken as he looked at Nathan.
It was not unheard of for someone to catch a slash with their bare hands. Mikaze himself could do that too.
However, catching an laido slash was not something Mikaze had seen before nor heard about.
He instinctively tried to cut off Nathan's fingers by turning his sword, but Nathan never gave him a chance.
Instead, Nathan had retaliated by applying some force into his fingers.
Clang!
He snapped the sword in half and immediately used the upper half to stab into Mikaze's chest, killing him on the spot.
