Salute to the General novel Chapter 2189

Soon after Nathan ended the call, an ambulance arrived.

A doctor led a team of medics over to Leah. He examined the severity of her injury and said to Nathan, “Sir, our preliminary analysis shows that your mother most likely fractured her shin. She needs to be rushed to the hospital for medical assistance right away.”

“Alright,” Nathan said as he nodded. “We'll be right behind you.”

After that, he, Colin, and several of the medics helped Leah onto the stretcher.

However, Mrs. Shulz was not happy. She barred their way and yelled, “Where do you think you're going? You've hit me in the face, and do you think you can leave before settling this?”

Nathan scowled at that. His priority was to escort his mother-in-law to the hospital and then return to the park to end this once and for all.

How outrageous is she! Even during times like this, she wouldn't let us go to the hospital?

Nathan's eyes flashed with anger.

At that moment, Shangley laughed. “Hey, brat, weren't you talking about firing me? Didn't you ask the mayor to meet you here? What is it? Are you thinking of running off now?”

“Don't think you can escape before settling matters,” Mrs. Shulz said. “No one leaves, including this broken-legged b*tch.”

Mrs. Shulz looked at Leah as she said that.

Her words made Leah trembled with anger.

The doctor had had enough, too. “You can resolve whatever this is by filing a police report. This lady has a fractured shin, so please do not obstruct me from doing my duty as a medical officer.

“If we miss the window for treatment, this could lead to after-effects of an injury not properly healed. Do you want to be responsible for that?”

“After effects?” Mrs. Shulz laughed.

“Before this matter is settled, she is not allowed to leave - not even if she had to end up limping.

“Besides, they are the dregs of society. It wouldn't have made any difference even if it did, would it?”

Careful, you might make her famous as a mentally tough paraplegic.” Shangley chuckled.
