“Mr. Agnello, why didn't this b*stard follow your commands? Isn't he under your spell?” Clayton asked in astonishment.
Even Wilbur was flabbergasted at Nathan's reaction. “Not many people can resist my manipulation. He has a stronger will because he is the God of War. I suspect that he has fallen under my spell, but his strong body is able to fight against my orders.”
“What do we do now?” Clayton asked with widened eyes when he heard Wilbur's explanation.
“Don't worry. I will increase the magnitude of the effect of hypnosis. I am confident that no one in this world can resist my power,” Wilbur replied arrogantly.
As he spoke, he turned towards Nathan. Once again, Wilbur looked at him squarely in the eyes.
Wilbur's eyes glowed with an unnatural light as if he was straining to hypnotize Nathan and put Nathan under a deep hypnotic state.
Yet, when he met Nathan's gaze to perform the hypnotism, Wilbur felt as if Nathan's eyes resembled the stars in the sky. Wilbur felt drawn by them instead.
This isn't good. Cold sweat began to dot across Wilbur's forehead. An unsettling feeling blossomed in his heart when he looked into Nathan's eyes.
Hypnotists used their strong willpower to put people to sleep. They often used an individual's eyes as a tool of communication to channel their power.
However, they could fail if they met someone with a stubborn and strong resistance. In such cases, the hypnotism might even backfire.
Wilbur did not expect Nathan to have such immense willpower. His determination and strength were like an unshakable mountain. Wilbur could feel his resolve waver under the force of Nathan's energy as the hypnotism backfired.
As he cried out internally, a flash of thunder and fire seemed to flash across his eyes. His body convulsed as if he had been electrocuted, and he lost all control. Wilbur sank into a deep slumber when his hypnotism against Nathan failed.
“Kneel!” Nathan's cold voice echoed by the side of his ear.
Upon Nathan's command, Wilbur's body lost control. He fell forward in front of Nathan's feet.
What?
Clayton and his subordinates gaped in shock at the scene before them.
Good GodlWhat on earth just happened?
Mr. Agnello was a prominent hypnotist. The Camden family paid him a hefty sum of five hundred million every year so that he would work for them.
In Clayton's memory, Mr. Agnello's hypnotism was always unrivaled.
