It turned out that the young girl with the phone was actually a small influencer in Channing called Genevieve Advani.
At the moment, Genevieve was sneering at the old sanitation worker. “What's the matter, you old b*tch? Where did all that vigor you used to scold me go? Why aren't you saying anything?”
The old lady bit her lip and held in her tears as there was nothing she could do but quietly go on with her work.
Her husband was bedridden at home, and their three children were still attending school. So, she was the sole breadwinner of the family.
Moreover, the cleanliness regulation got stricter in town as of late. So, she might suffer a pay cut, or worst, face termination if the rubbish situation in her area of responsibility went out of control.
Because of that, the old lady had to bear the humiliation without uttering a single word.
Seeing that the sanitation worker did not give her a reaction, Genevieve got bored.
However, she had no intention of letting the old lady off the hook just yet.
She marched over to the old lady and raised her hand to the woman's face. “Hey, b*tch. I'm talking to you. Did you not hear me?”
Just when Genevieve was about to hit the old lady, a tall figure appeared and grabbed her wrist.
“Ouch! That hurts! Let go of me, you jerk! You're hurting me!” Genevieve
cursed at Nathan, appalled by his action.
How is it okay for you to litter around as you see fit? This woman here is your mother's age, for crying out loud. How could you humiliate her like this? You even wanted to hit her? Where did your heart go?” Nathan said coldly.
