At that moment, a handsome man in a black shirt and boots came out with his subordinates from the building.
One could see some tattoos on the man's neck and arms. Surprisingly, there was even a tattoo of a national flag drenched in blood on the left side of his face.
He was none other than Tim Teaman, the Lone Star.
Penny felt that Tim looked composed when he came out. However, he became emotional the moment he saw Nathan.
After rushing toward Nathan, Tim stood straight, bowed, and choked out, “General!”
With a huge smile on his face, Nathan quickly grabbed Tim's hand and said, “My dear friend, how long has it been ever since we met the last time?”
Tim reported, “General, it has been two years, three months, and twelve days!”
Nathan was stunned upon hearing it.
After coming to his senses, Nathan replied, “You remember it well. But still, you've never once visited me since you left the army.
“I guess you won't pay me a visit if I don't come to Jetroina by coincidence?”
Tim lowered his head and said apologetically, “I brought bad luck to many comrades in the army. That is why I dare not get any closer to you. After all, I'll be dead meat if I bring any bad luck to you.
“General, I've been having a vegan diet and meditating for the past three days before meeting you today. I even asked a monk in Jazona to set up an altar to perform a religious ritual to seek blessings from the gods.”
Nathan replied in annoyance, “How feudal and superstitious! Only fools would believe in the nonsense about you being a jinx.”
At that, Tim lowered his head and remained silent.
Initially, Tim refused to believe that he was a jinx. Nonetheless, as more and more of his family members and friends passed away, he eventually accepted it.
Nathan said calmly, “I've experienced and survived numerous battles. Why should I worry about some superstitious belief?
“Since even the strongest enemy couldn't kill me, how could you possibly jinx me?
“I'm the only person who can control my destiny, so don't worry about me.”
Gritting his teeth, Tim said, “General, I understand that you’re outstanding, and no one can ever be your match on the battlefields. However, you don't have to put your life at risk!”
Unperturbed, Nathan glanced at Tim and replied, “I don't think I'm taking any risk by being close to you.
Besides, do you think I'm here only to visit you?”
