Salute to the General novel Chapter 2373

After the incident was resolved, Nathan and Kylie left the hotel.

Once they were in the car, Nathan was about to start the engine when he felt Kylie's admiring gaze.

“What's with that look?” he asked.

“You're so cool, Nathan!” Kylie complimented with a proud smile. “You managed to teach Mr. Kane and Yara a good lesson!”

“This is not the first time I've seen people like them, but they really bring things to a whole new level.

Since he wants to cozy with foreigners and betray his own people, I figured I should just send him abroad and let him see what it's like being barred from coming back to his own country,” he replied, putting his hands on the steering wheel. “By the way, you should really stop attending shady events like this. I should ask someone I can trust to find you a suitor instead.”

“I don’t want to see anyone! Besides, none of the candidates they've introduced suit my taste. I want someone who's responsible and capable like you.”

Nathan was speechless.

He stepped on the pedal and headed toward home, but Kylie suddenly asked him to stop when they passed by an alfresco cafe.

She wanted to grab some coffee before they returned home.

“Seriously, Kylie,” Nathan complained.

Despite being unwilling, he still pulled up by the road.

Nathan went to the restroom while Kylie placed their order.

A beautiful woman suddenly came beside Kylie and greeted her while she was waiting in line.

“Hey, Kylie!”

Kylie looked up in confusion and was surprised to see a fashionable young woman. “Ah!” she exclaimed after a pause. “Danielle Zeller!”

“Yeah! You still remember me, Kylie. It's been a long time since we last saw each other. I can't believe I bumped into you here!”

“I know right!” Kylie cried out. The two women used to be best friends when they were still studying.

Danielle looked over Kylie's shoulder and asked, “I saw you come in with a handsome young man. Is he your boyfriend?”

Kylie hesitated and told her that Nathan was her cousin-in-law.
