Salute to the General novel Chapter 2387

When Nathan and Cheryl walked out of the State Guesthouse, Cheryl said, “Nathan, thank you for teaching that pest a lesson for me.”

With a smile, Nathan replied, “I did not help you teach him a lesson. He just shouldn't have provoked me.”

Cheryl could not help but protest, “Actually, you could've just punished him a little. There's no need to offend General Quillen because of him! After all, you've already retired and are idling at home while General Quillen is allegedly becoming the Assistant Chief Military Governor. If you offend him, it’ll be hard for you to join the military again.”

Only a few people knew the secret that Nathan was the Chief Military Governor. Not even Cheryl, the daughter of the Minister of Health, knew about it.

Hence, Cheryl was still worried over the fact that Nathan had just offended Cayden.

Nathan replied coolly, “He still hasn't officially become the Assistant Chief Military Governor. Furthermore, even if he is, he doesn't have the final say in the military.”

Cheryl smiled bitterly. “Although the Chief Military Governor is ranked higher than the Assistant Chief Military Governor, if General Quillen insists on blacklisting you, the Chief Military Governor probably won’t risk offending General Quillen for your sake. Hence, you'll still be at a disadvantage.”

“That’s a matter for the future.” Nathan smiled as he spoke.

Instead of continuing that topic, Cheryl reminded him, “Oh, right. Hubert is just a useless playboy. There's nothing impressive about him. However, the Norris family is one of the five Reclusive Families in Eurasia. All of them have their own unique abilities—powerful enough to overturn the world. The Norris family has always been protective of its members. After they find out that you taught Hubert a lesson, I'm afraid that they'll seek trouble with you. You should be more careful during this period of time.”

Chuckling, Nathan responded, “Don't worry! Only I can seek trouble with others. If others do that to me, they'll be doomed.”

As they walked, they arrived at the parking lot.

Cheryl's car was a red Ferrari.

She offered to Nathan, “Why don't I send you back?”

Looking at Cheryl's sports car, he smiled and refused tactfully, “It's fine. I have a car, so there's no need to trouble you.”

Cheryl could feel that Nathan was keeping a distance from her. Sighing secretly, she said, “All right, then.

Goodbye!”

With that, she entered the Ferrari and drove away.

Nathan also walked to his red Audi.

After Colin opened the car door respectfully, he entered the car.
