Being the only other person who knew about Nathan's identity, Chance quickly stepped forward and greeted him politely, “Hello, Mr. Cross!”
Although the other business owners had no idea who Nathan was, they held Chance in high regard and saw him as a leader of sorts in the corporate world.
As such, seeing him greet Nathan with respect prompted them all to do the same.
“Hello, everyone! I understand that these are tough times, and you all have had it rough lately. I'm sorry you had to put up with these clowns!” Nathan greeted them back with a smile.
While Chance and the others were happy to see Nathan, the look on Jemma's face had twisted with rage the moment he appeared.
She still hated Nathan for making her bow down to him back then, so seeing everyone else show him more respect angered her even further.
“Heh... Nathan is not that powerful anymore, and his wife's company is going to be closed down after we sanction it. Neither of them is capable of protecting themselves now, so I don't understand why you guys would even ask them for help! You guys should be begging me instead of them!”
Chance and the others could only seethe in silence when they heard that.
Nathan shot her a glance and said coldly, “You again? What, did I not punish you enough the other day? Get the hell out of here, and take your lackeys with you! You are not welcome here!”
Nathan knew that Max was the ambassador for Ariarica, and that he sent Jessica to represent him in the negotiation.
Consequently, he saw Jemma as nothing but a small fry in charge of running errands, so he couldn't even be bothered to deal with her seriously and simply asked her to get lost.
