What?
Jessica gasped.
As it turned out, Nathan had predicted that Jessica would swiftly contact Ariarica and order the kidnappers to kill off their hostages. That was why he had instructed his men to block off all communication at the airport.
With no signal, Jessica would not be able to send off that order of hers through her phone.
At that, Jessica's expression froze.
Then, she gritted out, “You’re lying! My message's definitely been sent out. Just you wait. The news of your daughter and wife's deaths will reach you soo—"
Before she could finish her sentence, Hailey had already lifted her arm and showed Jessica the screen of her phone.
On it was a notification that read: Message failed to send.
Seeing that, Jessica was completely stunned to her core.
The next thing Hailey did was slap Jessica hard.
Smack'.
The slap sounded crisp and clear, echoing throughout the airport.
Hailey's harsh slap instantly made Jessica's left cheek swell and the corner of her lips bleed. Even the fancy hairstyle she had turned into an absolute mess after the slap.
Hailey then coldly uttered, “This slap is just an appetizer for a wicked woman like you. Once you’ve been brought back to our Secret Service base, we'll be giving you the best treatment. By then, I swear you won't be smiling, and you won't even be able to cry. In fact, even death will be a blessing. You'll regret ever getting born in this world.”
When Jessica turned to look at the menacing Hailey, a chill ran down her spine before spreading to the tip of her limbs.
When her hands and feet turned clammy, she finally felt fear.
At that very moment, the thought of killing herself by biting her tongue crossed her mind.
However, Nathan was prepared for that. He darted toward her and grabbed her lower jaw.
Then, he tightened his grip.
With a crack, he dislocated Jessica's jaw, destroying her thoughts of killing herself by biting her tongue.
He then hissed, “You'd better pray that my wife and daughter are fine, or else a life of torture will be waiting for you.”
