Before Bradley could say anything, the guy with the flattop had stepped up instead. He growled at Nathan, “Oi, brat! Don't you know that Sofie is the chick Bradley has his eyes on? How dare you ask his chick out on a date? Are you suicidal or something?”
Nathan frowned a little after hearing those accusations, and he slowly shifted his gaze to Bradley.
At that time, Bradley was glaring right back at Nathan with his head held high.
Nathan then said, “I heard that someone at school has been badgering Sofie, and I'm guessing that person is you.”
However, Bradley remained as cocky as ever. “It's not badgering. I am simply courting her. Listen, brat. I have always gotten the woman I wanted, so let me warn you before things get really ugly. It doesn't matter who you are to Sofie. Just stay away from her. If you don't, I will beat you up every time I see you.”
Nathan chuckled upon hearing that. “I have long known that someone at school is pestering Sofie, but she asked me to stay out of it. My initial intention was to respect her request, but if you're coming after me, then I have the perfect excuse to destroy you for her.”
Bradley sneered after he heard that response, whereas his friends burst into laughter.
“Haha, now that is interesting.”
“Did that punk just say he will destroy Bradley?”
“That idiot is probably just acting tough in front of the two beauties. I bet he doesn't know the price he must pay for acting so foolishly.”
Nathan acted as though he couldn't hear all the mocking and taunting. Instead, he simply grinned at Bradley and calmly informed him, “You are just a student, so I don't want things to exacerbate. Apologize to Sofie and promise you will never bother her at school again. In return, I will let you off the hook. What do you think about that?”
Bradley stared at Nathan as though the latter was a retard and chuckled. “You? Letting me off the hook? Do you still not know how dire your situation is?”
Instead of answering that question, Nathan simply fiddled with the volleyball and asked, “You asked me to play volleyball earlier, and I turned you down. But I've changed my mind now.”
Bradley harrumphed. “Why would I want to play volleyball with you? We're just going to beat you up directly.”
After saying all that, he waved at his friends and ordered, “Attack.”
As soon as those words were uttered, Bradley's friends made their moves.
The guy with the flattop spearheaded the team and was the first to attack.
Sofie and Kylie couldn't help shrieking when they saw a fight breaking out.
Meanwhile, the sightseers who were nearby shouted in fear as well, and they immediately fled from the chaotic scene.
As Nathan grinned, he tossed the volleyball.
Zip'.
The volleyball shot forward as though it were a bullet leaving a gun's barrel. It was frighteningly fast and powerful.
Suddenly, the guy with the flattop, who was still spearheading the team, felt lightheaded. Before he even knew what was going on, the volleyball had already smashed right into his face.
