Will widened his eyes in surprise, for the person who spoke in the booth sounded like the Deputy Commander of the North Army, Heptakill.
However, just when he was about to confirm with the gentleman, Will heard another loud but deep voice.
“How dare you order your soldiers to train their guns on us, Will!”
Will was taken aback once again when he realized that the voice belonged to another Deputy Commander of the North Army, Destroyer.
Before he could respond, Fang, along with Destroyer and Heptakill, casually walked out of the booth to stand in front of him under the light.
“It's been a while, hasn't it, Will? I've got to say. I didn't expect to meet you like this,” uttered Fang with a smirk.
Will was stunned as he stared at Fang and the others. It's really the Three Heroes of the North!
In terms of status, Fang was on par with Will.
However, one could say that Fang had the Chief Military Governor's favor since he was appointed by Nathan himself to be the commander-in-chief.
That alone meant Will had to show a certain amount of respect toward Fang.
Sensing that things were getting complicated, Will decided to order his men to stand down. However, before he could do that, Carrey stepped up to give the three a piece of his mind. “Who do you think you are? If you know who Will is, I suggest you get on your knees now and beg for forgiveness. If you please me, I might just let you live. Otherwise, I'll make sure he drags you guys outside to be executed.”
With both his hands behind his back, Fang gave Will a half-smile before teasing, “Is that what you're going to do to us, Will? You're going to have us executed?”
“It's a misunderstanding. This is all just a big misunderstanding!” explained Will hurriedly. “What do you guys think you're doing? Put your weapons away, or I'll shoot you myself!”
Some of the soldiers at the scene recognized who Fang and the others were, so they quickly did as told to avoid trouble. They all had terrified expressions.
Carrey found it hard to believe what just happened. “Wait. What's going on here?”
“Carrey, I'm afraid there's been a misunderstanding here,” explained Will awkwardly.
Still, Fang was not convinced any more than Carrey was. “Misunderstanding? I don't think that's what this is. If you insist this is simply a misunderstanding, then you should explain this to my superior yourself.”
