The look in Nathan's eyes grew colder. “Erwin, what are you trying to say?”
“Well, just like what I've told you. I wanted to find out why the President's illness has deteriorated,” Erwin answered placidly. “I suggest we form a Special Investigation Unit to look into this matter and discover the truth. We shall be fair to the Royal Medical Department as well as Cross Group. Once we know the source of the problem that caused the President to suffer badly, I should think that the culprit needs to bear all the consequences and pay the price for his doing.”
Nathan shot a cold glance at Erwin as though he was casting a look at a corpse. He knew that the latter was seizing the opportunity to make a fuss and create trouble for Cross Group.
If the Special Investigation Unit concluded that the medication was questionable, Cross Group would land itself in a quandary. Penny, who was the chairperson of Cross Group, would inevitably be entangled in it.
In fact, Nathan would not be able to escape from it either.
In other words, Erwin was obviously scheming all these to go against Nathan.
Some of those at the scene supported Nathan, whereas the rest rooted for Erwin.
Those who were on Nathan's side strode forward and objected to the proposal as soon as they saw Erwin's supporters close in on Nathan. To them, setting up an investigation team was totally unnecessary.
On the other hand, Erwin's supporters continued raising a ruckus and taunting the other party to succumb to their idea, insisting that they were feeling guilty for being adamant about the Special Investigation Unit.
In the blink of an eye, a fight broke out between two parties, and it was a chaotic scene.
In the end, Paisley was infuriated.
“Shut up!"
