Salute to the General novel Chapter 2725

On Lokki Mountains at the Town of Warfang, the golden rays of the sunlight cast a dull orange blanket on the old town.

A few men in jeans were crouching and sitting while chatting and drinking in front of the tavern.

All of a sudden, the few men who were drinking halted as an inquisitive expression crossed their faces.

Then they looked toward the faraway sky in unison.

A tiny black dot could be vaguely seen in the evening sky.

The black dot was gradually growing bigger as it came closer to them.

Next came the sounds of whirring.

As it turned out, it was a helicopter!

Moreover, it was a military armed helicopter, and it was flying toward them.

The few men shared a shocked look with each other. What's going on?

Right then, many of the townspeople came out of their houses. They warily looked up at the approaching

helicopter.

Then, they watched the helicopter slowly land in the town.

In the next second, Rayner, dressed in his military uniform, jumped down from the helicopter. After him, dozens of fully armed, ferocious Ariarican soldiers stepped out of the helicopter as well.

Those Ariarican soldiers were all expressionless as they stared at the townspeople intently.

They were super-soldiers that Ariarica had created under Project Genesis, and every one of them was terrifyingly good at combat.

After Rayner and the super-soldiers stood in a line, a tall man in an admiral's outfit finally came down from the helicopter leisurely.

That man was none other than Ariarica's Five-star General, Max.

Once Max came down from the helicopter and regained his balance, a putrid scent wafted across his nose. It was the same scent dogs had, but worse.

Max took out a white handkerchief. As he covered his nose with it, he scanned the wary townspeople and asked, “Is there no one in charge here who can greet me?”

The townspeople shared a look and did not speak. The looks in their eyes as they stared at Max and his party were full of hostility.

Max frowned. “Weredogs will always be weredogs. They're rude. Even dogs know to wag their tails to greet their owners when they see them.”

The moment those words were out of his mouth, the townspeople turned livid.

They bared their teeth and growled as they started closing in on Max and his party. It was clear that Max had enraged them, and they were going to teach the intruders a lesson.

Max curled his lips. He thought nothing of the “weredogs.”

The townspeople surrounded Max and his party, and it seemed that a battle was about to break out.

Right then, a figure dashed over.

“You must have stolen a lion’s heart to have the courage to barge into our territory and cause a ruckus! I'm going to tear your head off!”

The man rushing over had half of his face covered with a beard. He, too, was in a jeans outfit, and he was exceptionally tall and bulky.

He ran over at the speed of light, leaving behind a gust of wind.

When the townspeople spotted him, they cheered, “Goliath, you're here!”

“Goliath, good timing!”
