Salute to the General novel Chapter 2773

Soon after Nathan and the rest took a seat in the great hall, a burst of clear laughter echoed in the hall. Following suit, a tall figure approached them, leading a group of servants behind him.

“Mr. and Mrs. Cross! Thank you for your patience. Have you been waiting long?”

Before Szymon had even reached the group, his loud and authoritative voice reverberated in the hall.

Nathan, Penny, and the others turned simultaneously to the source of the voice. Szymon, who was dressed smartly, approached them with a huge smile on his face.

Szymon had an attractive figure. His blond hair, blue eyes, and sideburns gave him a noble aura, as well as a domineering attitude that most nobility lack.

Perhaps that was his character that was shaped since young with the number of killings in his younger years.

Nathan and Penny stood up politely.

Just as Nathan and Penny were sizing Szymon up, he was also evaluating Nathan with great interest.

Truth be told, Szymon had long heard about Nathan, especially the story where Nathan had singlehandedly defeated the Coalition Army consisting of elites from eighteen countries. He had even lost count of the times he had heard people recounting the story.

However, he had always scoffed at the story. In fact, he was even downright suspicious of Nathan's capabilities.

He firmly believed that Nathan was not as powerful as the rumors made him out to be. He believed that those Nathan had defeated had intentionally exaggerated his power so that they would not get in too much trouble for their failures.

That day was the first time Szymon met Nathan face to face.

He was taken aback to see how young Nathan appeared to be. He is just slightly over thirty!

If Nathan were to walk on the street, he might mistake Nathan for an ordinary young soldier. He would have never believed that Nathan was once the Commander-in-Chief of the North Army, much less the current president and Chief Military Governor of Eurasia.

“It's an honor to have you here, Mr. and Mrs. Cross!”

With a grin, Szymon stretched out his hand to Nathan.

Nathan could tell that Szymon was faking his friendliness. However, Eurasia was well-known for upholding etiquette. Moreover, there was a saying in Eurasia that one must not hit a smiling face.

Seeing that Szymon was acting polite, Nathan smiled and stretched out his hand to shake Szymon's hand.

“I've heard many things about you, Your Grace. I hope we're not disturbing Your Grace with today's visit.”

The men's strong grips held each other.

Szymon narrowed his eyes and slightly tighten his grip to test Nathan's strength as well as to show authority.

A huge burst of force traveled from his hand. The force was strong enough to crumple up metal as though it was a ball of dough.

To his shock, Nathan still maintained a relaxed smile on his face.

Szymon secretly increased his strength again.

However, even though he had increased his strength, his enormous strength vanished into thin air the moment it traveled to Nathan's hand.

At that moment, Szymon no longer looked down on Nathan for he could sense that Nathan truly had skills.
