Salute to the General novel Chapter 2802

Soon, a military helicopter gradually landed on the deck. Jermaine got off it swiftly with a few trusted subordinates before darting toward Nathan and Penny.

Moments later, they raised their hands and saluted Nathan in unison. “President Cross!”

Plashing Jermaine a smile, Nathan complimented, “Colonel Caulfield, we haven't met for quite a while. You still look as robust and energetic as ever. I'm impressed!”

It never crossed Jermaine's mind that

Nathan still remembered him.

Overjoyed at the latter's compliment, he grinned ear to ear like a kid and responded courteously, “President Cross, I was assigned to lead the Dragon Warriors and escort you back.”

Nathan gladly replied, “Okay!”

While Jermaine led the Dragon Warriors to escort Nathan, Annie had a meetup with Max again in Platinumez Palace.

The moment Max met her, he smiled bitterly, shaking his head. “I've obtained the latest news, but it's not good. Prince Jurgis secretly sought Nathan Cross out for payback and was severely injured. Meanwhile, Moab, Elder of Shadow Fang, launched an attack against Cross at full force with all his werewolf warriors and sustained a terrible defeat.”

What? The werewolves sustained a terrible defeat? Staring at Max in disbelief, Annie stammered, “W-What on earth transpired? How could Nathan Cross have such terrifying formidability?”

Max smiled wryly. "I'm clueless about the exact situation. I only know that Moab was badly defeated, and almost all his werewolf warriors were wiped out. In fact, I heard those of Eurasia's Dragon Warriors carrying out peacekeeping missions overseas had gone to Cross' rescue. Thus, I have a hunch Moab and the werewolf warriors were eradicated by them. Otherwise, it should be easy as snapping his fingers for Moab to annihilate Cross.”

Annie stated resignedly, “Admiral Max, since things have gone south, I'm afraid I can't continue joining hands with you.”

Earlier that night, Eurasia's Cabinet and the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor had warned Annie that Eurasia would launch a devastating strike against Eagleland if anything happened to Nathan. Deep down, she heaved a sigh of relief after knowing about Moab's defeat.
