Salute to the General novel Chapter 2929

The next day, the Dragon Warriors arrived at the port of the capital of Wallera as expected.

Jaymes, the president of Wallera, was there to welcome his guests alongside his army of six hundred people.

Indeed, Wallera was a small country with a population of over two million. Yet, the army was only made up of six hundred soldiers.

Even their police force was bigger than their army.

At that moment, Jaymes and his ministers were looking at the Dragon Warriors as they showed up. There, they saw a fleet of majestic warships.

Jaymes was perplexed. “What is this? Did Nathan bring the whole Eurasian navy here?”

Upon hearing that, the ministers looked at each other. One of them steeled himself and said, “President Krasner, Eurasia is huge, so their navy is massive. The warships Nathan brought along aren't all they have.”

Jaymes couldn't care less. “So what? They're still not as strong as Ariarica.”

The crowd went silent. They all knew how much Jaymes admired Ariarica.

Right then, the Dragon Warriors fleet docked, and the navy members quickly gathered on the deck.

Nathan and Colin were then seen walking down slowly from the deck.

Kraven, Kerry, Sevan, and the rest remained on the warship because it wasn't appropriate for them to show up on such occasions.

Under normal circumstances, the head of a country would quickly go up to Nathan and welcome him.

Jaymes, however, stood rooted to the spot arrogantly. When he saw Nathan approaching him, he smiled and greeted, “Hi, Mr. Cross! Welcome to Wallera.”

“It's a pleasure to meet you too, Jaymes,” Nathan said flatly.

Jaymes reached out his hand to shake Nathan's hand. Then he scanned the surroundings and asked, “Mr. Cross, why are you alone? Where's Mrs. Cross?”

Nathan furrowed his brows, while the expressions on the ministers' faces changed dramatically.

Leighton Kornmayer, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Wallera, quickly uttered, “Mr. Cross, President Krasner was just asking if the First Lady is here with you.”

Nathan looked at Jaymes and said coldly, “That's not what you should concern yourself with. What you should pay attention to is how Eurasian investors and workers are getting bullied in your country. I heard that the Eurasians in your country have been getting ostracized each day! That's why I've come here today.”

Jaymes seemed pissed off when he heard that.

Leighton quickly stepped forward to defuse the situation. “Mr. Cross, this is not the place to talk about that. We've already organized a banquet at the presidential palace. Please continue the conversation there.”

Soon, both parties arrived at the main hall of the presidential palace.

Indeed, a banquet had been set up in the main hall.

Both parties were seated according to their respective ranks.

Jaymes didn't talk to Nathan about the Eurasians getting bullied in the country right away. Instead, he kept raising his glass and proposing toast while exchanging pleasantries with Nathan.

As a guest, Nathan obliged and drank with him.

Eventually, Jaymes ended up having a glass too many.

Nathan was there to solve problems, and he didn't intend to stay for long.

Seeing that Jaymes was getting drunk, he put his glass aside and uttered in a serious tone, “I'm sure you all know why I've come here. Let's talk about how we can solve the problem of Eurasians getting bullied in your country, shall we?”

Jaymes's face was flushed, and he reeked of alcohol. “Mr. Cross, go on. What do you suggest we do?”

In response, Nathan answered, “My request is simple: punish the perpetrators and ensure the personal and property safety of the Eurasians here. Also, prevent such things from happening again in the future.”

Nathan had thought Jaymes wouldn't comply.

But to his surprise, Jaymes said in a carefree tone, “Well said! I'll do as you said, Mr. Cross.”

Nathan's expression softened. So, I guess this b*stard still has some sense.

However, what Jaymes said next in a drunken manner angered Nathan.

With a smile, Jaymes said, “I'll definitely meet your request, Mr. Cross, but I also have a simple request. I'm very interested in Eurasian culture. In fact, I like how Eurasian dresses look. Last night, I saw Mrs. Cross wearing a green dress in a magazine. She looks stunning! Mr. Cross, may I have the dress your wife wore?”

Nathan's expression turned grim instantly.

Colin, who was next to him, fumed, “How dare you talk about our First Lady that way!”

Jaymes slammed the table and glared at Colin. “Know your place! I'm talking to President Cross! What makes you think you can interrupt us? Do you have a say here?”

Whoosh!

The soldiers behind Colin, who were tasked with protecting Nathan, quickly drew their weapons. They were all infuriated.

The expressions of the ministers next to Jaymes changed drastically.

However, the soldiers behind Jaymes would not back down as well. They, too, had drawn their weapons, and they were all glaring at the Eurasian soldiers.
