Salute to the General novel Chapter 3040

Inside the main hall of a temple on Rostrie Hill, Paisley and her daughter were kneeling on the prayer mats, praying earnestly to the deity statue with their eyes closed.

It turned out that Paisley was a devout believer. Not only did she believe in the religion, but she would worship at every temple.

Upon hearing that the temple on Rostrie Hill was effective, she had been visiting this place frequently.

She would visit this temple on every first and fifteenth day of the month to pray for her dead husband.

At that moment, she did not know that a slender priest in his sixties was standing at the side and watching her lecherously.

He was none other than Nigel's mentor, Wrigley.

Wrigley was looking at Paisley's back lustfully.

Suddenly, Maisy, who was beside Paisley, fell to the ground and passed out.

“Maisy?” Paisley exclaimed and tried to support her daughter.

However, everything around her seemed to spin when she stood up, and she fainted as well.

Wrigley's lips curved into a smug grin. “Haha! I haven't been able to succeed the last few times. However, you drank my tea today. You can't escape from me this time!”

Right then, a few boorish men appeared. A man with a mustache laughed gleefully. “Master, we finally get to drug this beautiful woman. You finally got what you want.”

Wrigley smirked. “Don't worry. I'll let you guys have your share after I have mine. Carry her to my room.”

“Got it!”

They laughed evilly. Just as they were about to carry Paisley, urgent footsteps sounded from outside.

Hadley had brought along a few police officers and stormed into the temple with a stern expression.

Wrigley and the others were stunned by the scene.

Wrigley asked, “Why are you here, Mr. Lyons?”

Hadley saw the woman and child on the floor, then glanced at Wrigley and the others, who seemed frightened. It was apparent something was off.

Hadley replied coldly, “Wrigley, your disciple has been arrested for scamming others. I'm here today to arrest you. What's going on with this woman and child on the floor?”

Beads of sweat began to form on Wrigley's forehead. “Uh...”

Hadley snorted. “You're stammering. It's obvious there's something wrong. Arrest them all.”
