The rest of the werewolves burst out laughing.

Then Max commented, “We're both from the dark clans. Neither of us is more noble nor lowly than the other. In my opinion, it's worthwhile to befriend the werewolves and work together.”

Raytor as well as his men stared at Max in disbelief.

This vampire is an oddball! The regular vampires usually think very highly of themselves and look down on any living things, to the extent that they despise any clan members with a mixed background. Max is different. He's not as arrogant as the other vampires. He even said we could be friends. How bizarre!

The werewolves had long been receiving insults from the vampire, and they were so touched by Max's sincerity.

Raytor was dubious. “Are you serious?”
