Salute to the General novel Chapter 3252

Upon hearing this, Nathan's face darkened. As the commander-in-chief of the alliance, he was unaware of such a matter. He asked again, “Then, what does he mean when he says that those without money will be arranged to work as a way to pay for their passage?” Massimo began to explain, “People without money who want to pass through to the safe zone are arranged to work in the dark mines owned by certain consortiums. However, nine out of ten people sent there don't make it back alive.”

Upon hearing this, Nathan's gaze turned cold. The Hundred Nations Gods of War Alliance was formed to combat vampires, bring peace to the civilians in the vampire-occupied territory, and help the survivors rebuild their homes. They were not supposed to exploit them. Nathan's eyes were icy cold as he stared at Digby.

“Who gave you the authority to do this? Who allowed you to act this way? Immediately bring your superior to me.” Digby chuckled.

“Ha! What is this guy talking about? Has he become too engrossed in his role, actually believing himself to be the commander-in-chief of the alliance?”

Immediately after saying that, he looked at Shadow Widow, Massimo, and the others sternly.

“I've already made myself very clear to you all. You can either get lost and go back to the occupied territory, or follow my instructions. Those with money can pay a toll of one thousand Ariarican currency. If you don't have money, I can arrange for you to do three months of hard labor. Make your own decision!”

Just then, his icy, sharp gaze fell upon Nathan, Colin, and Sevan. He said emotionlessly, “However, the three of them must stay behind regardless. Impersonating the commander-in-chief is a serious crime that warrants execution by firing squad. I advise none of you to entertain any thoughts of standing up for them. Otherwise, I'll consider it a threat to Steel Wings. We will show no mercy.”

As if to prove his point, the Steel Wings warriors behind him simultaneously raised their sub-machine guns, making a crisp sound. In the distance, the weapons and machine guns on their armored cars were all aimed at Nathan and his companions.

In an instant, the atmosphere at the scene became incredibly tense. All eyes were on Nathan. Nathan's face remained calm as he looked at Digby indifferently.

“I've seen many warriors go looking for trouble, but this is the first time I've encountered someone as reckless as you.”

Upon saying that, Nathan instructed Colin, “Contact the alliance headquarters. I want the commander of Steel Wings to appear before me within ten minutes.”

“Got it!” With that, Colin took out his phone and made a call. Digby sneered, “Ha! Go on, keep pretending! Our esteemed commander-in-chief of Steel Wings, General Chazley, is taking his afternoon nap. Everyone knows that he's at his grumpiest when he's asleep, and no one dares to disturb him. I'd like to see how you can make a phone call and have him meet you within ten minutes. Haha!”

Behind him, the Steel Wings warriors were also looking at Nathan with smirks on their faces. They couldn't wait to see Nathan make a fool of himself. After some time passed by, Digby glanced at his watch and sneered, “Your ten minutes are almost up, and it seems that General Chazley won't be coming. The farce is over. You can go die now.”

Immediately, he pulled out his pistol, ready to shoot at Nathan. Just then, a sudden roar of car engines came from behind. He turned back, astonished, along with the crowd. Suddenly, several military Jeeps appeared. They charged forward like wild, frenzied buffaloes, their engines roaring.

Vroom!

Several jeeps rushed toward the crowd before braking abruptly, leaving deep tire marks on the ground. The vehicle had just come to a steady stop when a tall general, wearing sunglasses, hurriedly got out of the car with a group of subordinates in tow. Upon seeing the sunglass-clad general, Digby's eyes nearly popped out in shock. He exclaimed,

“General Chazley! You... Why have you come here?”
