Nathan's private jet soon arrived in Eurasia, at the airport in Brimmopolis.
The moment Nathan stepped off the plane, the scene erupted with thunderous applause and cheers.
“Papa!”
“Hubby!”
Penny, cradling her son and accompanied by her daughter, quickly walked up to Nathan with her family. Her face was full of excitement as she looked at her returning husband.
“I've caused you all to worry!” Nathan took his son into his arms and, in the flow of the moment, planted a kiss on his wife's cheek. That made Penny's pretty face blush a deep red.
Just then, Zion also came over with the cabinet members and the generals from the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor.
“Welcome home, Chief Military Governor. You've returned home in triumph!” Zion stepped forward, warmly shaking hands with Nathan.
Nathan said with a smile, “Everyone has worked hard while I was away. How is our reconstruction work progressing?”
Zion answered with a smile, “With everyone's concerted efforts, the reconstruction work is progressing in an orderly manner. Don't worry, Chief Military Governor.”
Nathan nodded in satisfaction.
Afterward, Nathan returned to the White House and immediately convened a meeting with the Cabinet and the members of the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor.
After a busy day, he finally had some free time to reunite with his family.
When he walked into the dining room, he noticed Kylie yawning. Both his daughter and son were asleep. His in-laws, along with Penny, were also waiting, yawning incessantly.
It was probably the sound of Nathan's footsteps that startled his daughter, Queenie, awake.
Queenie opened her eyes just in time to see Nathan walk in. She couldn't help but get excited. “Hey! Papa is finally back.”
After saying that, she rushed into Nathan's arms.
