Leopold said, “Please speak, Commander Cross.”
Wolfric chimed in, “Absolutely, Commander Cross. your thoughts are valued. We are not unyielding in our stance. If there is a viable plan, we will undoubtedly lend our support.”
Nathan spoke with measured deliberation, revealing, “Lately, I've observed indications of a worsening rapport between the vampires and our human population. The Adrunians are staging regular protests, objecting to the coexistence of our two races. There's a looming possibility that the vampires might engage in hostilities with us humans once more.”
Upon hearing this, Wolfric was on the verge of providing an explanation when Nathan proceeded, “In light of these circumstances, I sought an audience with the vampire queen, Hepburn, to inquire whether the vampires might consider launching an assault on the Divine Realm in lieu of Earth. Her response only reached me yesterday, affirming the vampires' readiness to commit wholeheartedly to the war effort. Do you believe it's a viable proposition for the vampires to initiate an offensive against the Divine Realm on behalf of Earth?”
After saying that, Nathan gazed at Leopold.
Having recently rejected Nathan's earlier proposition, Leopold found himself hesitant to refuse another proposal now.
Moreover, if the vampires were willing to confront the Gods, so be it.
After all, it would be the vampires facing the danger, which ultimately aimed to neutralize the threat of the Gods. In such a scenario, Earth would be the ultimate beneficiary, giving Leopold no reason to object.
“
“
Leopold readily concurred, affirming, “The vampires are an integral part of the global village. If they are willing to play a role in Earth's defense, it's indeed the most favorable outcome. I agree.”
Nathan looked toward Wolfric.
Wolfric hesitated slightly, then said, “I agree too!”
The other War Gods expressed their agreement one after another.
Nathan said, “Very well. The proposal for Earth to attack the Divine Realm has been unanimously agreed upon after our initial discussion. Let's discuss the rest another day. This meeting is adjourned.”
The crowd was buzzing with discussion as they dispersed.
Nathan returned to his own office.
Marcus and Eve have been waiting for a long time.
