As Hepburn and his group arrived at the entrance, they were immediately stopped by Nathan's personal guards.
Hepburn said, “We heard that Mr. Cross has awakened, so we came to visit.”
The guard said in an official tone, “I'm sorry, without an order, none of you are allowed to enter.”
Just at that moment, Colin exited the room. “Mr. Cross said to let them in.”
“Understood!” said the guards before stepping aside.
Soon, Hepburn and his group entered the room.
Nathan was already out of bed, casually sitting in his white loungewear, sipping coffee.
“Greetings, Commander Cross!” Hepburn and the others all bowed together.
Dinko and Moblan also hurriedly followed suit with the salutations.
Although Nathan was quite weak at that moment, he still managed to present himself as if he was recovering well.
He glanced around at everyone, smiling as he said, “There's no need for such formalities, everyone.”
Everyone stood up straight.
Hepburn first congratulated Nathan on waking up and cheerfully asked, “How are you feeling now, Mr. Cross?”
Nathan chuckled. “Considering I've slept for a few days, I feel much better now that I'm awake. The doctor said I should be fully recovered in a few days.”
Hepburn and the others were unaware of the actual situation, taking everything at face value. The news excited them. They believed Nathan's physical strength was extraordinary, seeing he recovered quickly despite his injuries.
As for Dinko and Moblan, they were frowning a bit, especially Moblan.
They were hoping to see how badly Nathan was hurt during that visit.
If Nathan was seriously injured, then there was still hope for the Gods to restore their kingdom. Moblan could seek out a way to eliminate Nathan, allowing the Gods to rise again.
Yet, he just learned that Nathan's recovery was going well.
