Salute to the General novel Chapter 3752

Nathan shook his head and said, “No! It's a minor issue. There's no need to punish him. Moreover, I feel that the Gods have just surrendered. Those paladins of the Gods are not truly and sincerely at my disposal. Right now, we don't have many under our command who can hold their own. Max is one of them. We can focus on nurturing him.”

Max was a subordinate of Hepburn.

When Max made a mistake, Hepburn was also naturally put to shame.

However, instead of blaming Max, Nathan announced his wish to nurture Max.

Hepburn couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, laughing as he said, “All right. I'll talk to him when I return and tell him to perform well.”

Nathan smiled. “Okay!”

Hepburn exchanged a few more words with Nathan, then also excused herself.

After Hepburn left, the smile on Nathan's face vanished and was replaced by a pensive expression.

At the vampire queen's mansion, as soon as Hepburn returned to her mansion, she sent for Max.

Max entered, respectfully bowed to Hepburn, and then asked, “Your Majesty, you summoned me urgently. Is there something you wish to instruct me on?”

Hepburn asked coldly, “Have you been indulging your subordinates lately, allowing them to plunder and humiliate the Gods civilians? And have you repeatedly had conflicts with people like Toothless and Solo?”

With his head lowered, Max said, “We have emerged victorious, yet those Gods always look at us as if we are foreign invaders. I find them displeasing, so I had my men discipline a few of the major Gods families and ransacked their homes. As for guys like Toothless and Solo, I don't have much to say. I just can't get along with them.”

Hepburn voiced her displeasure. “Didn't His Majesty remind you? We've just taken over Divine Realm, and we haven't won over the hearts of the civilians, so we can't avoid overly provoking the surrendered Gods. Why won't you listen?”

Max said, “These Gods were forced to surrender. They are always plotting rebellion behind our backs. I'm also considering His Majesty's interests. I reckon we should make an example of a few families by intimidating some of them! Your Majesty, if you feel I've acted improperly, then punish me!”

Hepburn's expression softened a bit after she heard that. “I'm not trying to punish you. I'm just reminding you to be careful. Don't let your actions interfere with the grand scheme of His Majesty. His Majesty was just speaking with me, and he mentioned you. Given that we currently have only a few generals who can hold their own, you are a talent with potential, so he told me to nurture you properly. Therefore, you also have to work hard!”

Upon hearing that, Max quickly pledged his loyalty. “I will certainly not let down the expectations of His Majesty and Your Majesty.”

Hepburn nodded, instinctively saying, “The Four Emperors are coming to pay tribute soon, not to mention with ill intentions. Moreover, His Majesty's health is...”

At that point, suddenly realizing she was about to say something wrong, Hepburn quickly caught herself.

Max heard that Nathan seemed to be unwell, but he didn't hear any more from Hepburn. He quickly asked, “What's wrong with His Majesty? Is his injury not healed? Is his condition deteriorating?”

After asking that, he suddenly found Hepburn staring at him with a cold expression, which gave him quite a scare.

Hepburn said coldly, “Don't ask questions that aren't your business.”

“Yes!”

Max lowered his head, but his eyes were darting around, seemingly pondering on something.

Hepburn added, “In a few days, the Four Emperors will come to pay their respects to His Majesty! They harbor evil intentions. Protecting His Majesty is of utmost importance. You, Sinistral, Toothless, and Solo are collectively responsible for this task. You must make sure nothing bad happens.”

Max said, “Yes!”

A few days later, the Four Emperors had gathered hundreds of small spacecraft, summoning their respective elite forces and marching grandly toward Divine Realm.

When approaching Divine Realm's space territory, the Four Emperors ordered their vast army to stay put, awaiting their next command.

And so, the four of them, accompanied by their soldiers, piloted several small spacecraft, entering Divine Realm's airspace to visit Nathan.

Once they discovered Nathan's injuries had not healed and he had no combat power, they would not hesitate to order the forces in space to launch an attack on Divine Realm.
