Salute to the General novel Chapter 383

Actually, Nathan was infuriated and decided to take things out on Sharon because she had gone overboard with her words, causing Penny to cry.

Penny was moved deep down, and she whispered, "Thankfully, you were by my side this time. I'm afraid I wouldn't have made it out unscathed without you. However, I think that's enough. We have achieved our goal and made an example out of her, so let's allow her to return to her previous office, okay?"

Nathan thought about it for quite some time before he replied, "Since she has advanced ten years' worth of allowance, she has to spend the upcoming decade working for us. I'm sure my beloved wife can't bear to leave her in the transparent office. Besides, it will make us seem petty as well. How about this? We'll have her spend the upcoming week in the transparent office. After that, we'll allow her to return to her normal office, okay?"

Delighted at his suggestion, Penny agreed immediately, "That's very thoughtful of you! Although you're usually a relatively lazy person, you're extremely decisive when a crisis arises. It seems as though you're the almighty general of an army."

Actually, Penny was complimenting Nathan with a metaphor. However, she had no idea Nathan was none other than the General of the North Army.

"Oh? Really?" Nathan blinked his eyes playfully.

"Yes! Why don't you take over the role of Cross Group's president? I'll be the vice-president and assist you instead," Penny nodded while she suggested.

Indeed, Penny felt that Nathan had the quality of a president. Since everyone had perceived him as someone who lived off her, she wished to show everyone that Nathan was a worthy and capable man as well.

To be frank, she was afraid Nathan's feelings would get hurt.

Unfortunately, Nathan returned to his usual self once he heard Penny's suggestion.

He shook his head and declined, "Nope! You're right. I'm quite lazy, so I enjoy being at the bottom while you assume the top position."

Penny's eyes widened in disbelief when she heard Nathan's words as her face reddened.
