Salute to the General novel Chapter 393

James laughed out loud at what Penny said. "Report me? Who will you report me to? Do you know who is the biggest shareholder of Blue Sky Corporation? It's the King of the South! Even the mayor and the governor are in awe of him. Do you still want to report me? Sure, go ahead. I'm just concerned that you'll bring contempt upon yourself for doing so, that's all!"

Penny was furious at that. "You!"

James laughed coldly and added, "He who is greedy for unjust gains will only bring misery upon himself. The liver cancer vaccine is such a profitable venture, so how could you have it all to yourself? I suggest that you listen to me and take the initiative to hand over the rights to Blue Sky Corporation at once. Otherwise, I'll just continue to block it right here at the CDER. You will never be able to officially start the vaccine's production, nor will the vaccine be able to enter the market at all. The fees for the vaccine's manufacturing rights alone would cost you a billion per year. Once the value of your market shares drops, you'll go bankrupt and your whole family will end up on the streets!"

Hearing this, Penny felt flustered and exasperated at the same time as tears began to well up in her eyes.

She left the CDER with the other senior management officers in a rage.

Penny had just left when James picked up the phone and called Terrence Ortiz.

He said into the phone proudly, "Terrence, Cross Group's vaccine inspection has been halted by me. They can never pass the inspection and get the FDA approval for the vaccine! In other words, they'll never bring it to the market!"

Satisfied by the news, Terrence replied, "James, you did well. Block Penny Smith's every effort and make her so helpless that she willingly hands over the manufacturing rights to me!"

James laughed aloud. "Don't worry, Terrence! I know what to do!"

Nathan arrived at Cross Group and found a sea of worried faces looking at him.

He glanced inside the CEO office and saw Penny pinching her temple in a state of frenzied despair.

Frowning, Nathan gestured for Jenny to come over and asked her, "What happened? Why is everyone here in a bad mood?"

Jenny smiled bitterly and replied, "Mr. Cross, haven't you heard? The CDER is going against Cross Group and failing our vaccine sample inspection on purpose. What's worse is that the CDER's vice-president James Price even threatened President Smith and forced her to hand over the manufacturing rights for the liver cancer vaccine to Blue Sky Corporation. He also said that if she refuses to do so, he will block our attempts to get the vaccine past the CDER inspection stage so that we can never officially start production and bring it to the market!"
